Spring is in the air

We just got Mackenzie's spring pictures back from day care and I couldn't resist sharing them with eveyone. There were only two poses. So, this is a short post. We will be getting her two year pics this weekend. I will post those when I get them.

Mother's Day

This Mother's Day was extra special. On Friday, Nathan and I went to the movies (it's been a long time since we have gotten to go to the movies alone) and watched Only in Vegas. It was a great movie. Nathan even enjoyed it. Before that, we went to Quanah to have dinner with my mom. Anyway, on Saturday, Nathan, Mackenzie, and I went out to eat at Red Lobster. I splurged and got the Lobster in Paradise meal. Yummy. Little Miss Mackenzie tried the popcorn shrimp, and much to our surprise, she liked it. Anyway, I wanted to share with you all the things that Mackenzie made for me at daycare.

This was the front of the card that Mackenzie made at day care.

This is the inside of the card.

These are the flowers that she colored for me. I would much rather have this type of flower instead of the one that dies.

I hope that all the mothers had a blessed Mother's Day.

~much love~

Boo Boo

Well, our first major accident in two years. Mackenzie had to end up getting four stitches above her left eye. While at daycare on Monday, May 5th, she was supposedly running too fast, lost her balance, and hit the privacy fence. Well, she hit the bracket that holds two panels together; the one that goes around the pole. Anyway, nobody knew she did it until they saw her bleeding. She didn't cry. I had to leave a workshop and get her and take her to the ER. She was such a trooper being that we were there for four hours. She didn't like it when the nurses started messing with her "boo boo." Here are some pics of her stitches.

It looks worse than what it is. The nurse did a really good job with the stitches. They came out today (Monday, May 12). I will post the after pics later.

National Scrapbooking Retreat

The first weekend in May, I attended my first National Scrapbooking Retreat. It was all three days Friday-Sunday. I had a blast and met some really cool people. We have decided to make this an annual event. Below are some pics taken at the retreat.

This is Diana showing off her ribbion collection.

Here is Kim, Diana, and Doris.

Me taking a break.

OK now it's time to get back to work.
