Easter 2008

This Easter has turned out to be an awesome holiday. Mackenzie took her picture with the Easter Bunny and then we colored eggs; that was an experience in itself, but fun. We will hunt Easter Eggs on Sunday after church and Easter lunch. Right now, I just wanted to share with everyone, the Bunny (a.k.a. hop hop) picture and us chicks coloring eggs. I will later post the hunt. We hope everyone has a blessed holiday. "He is Risen...."

This picture was taken at the mall. She did so good. She went right up to him and sat in his lap. She even gave him a high five.

Mackenzie preparing the eggs for their color bath.

Proud of her first colored egg.Dipping with caution.

Being so careful not to drop the egg.... and mommy wants to take a picture..... go figure.

Adding the decorations very carefully.

Mackenzie decorated the eggs with Mickey Mouse rub ons.The finished product. Do you think she could have been more proud???

AHHHH, Easter is finally here. Mackenzie got to have some suprise eggs before church. In them she discovered she hit the jack pot; "monies, mommy!!!"

Here are a few pics before church.

While we were at church, apparently the Easter Bunny stopped by with some Easter goodies for Mackenzie.

Then we went over to Memaw and Papaw's house to have Easter lunch and a Egg hunt with family. This is the basket she got from Mewmaw and Papaw.

She had so much fun hunting eggs with her cousin Luke. Being that we all brought eggs for at least 4 kids; only two were there, you can imagine all the loot the two had.

We hope everyone had a blessed Easter. Joy to the World!!! He is risen from the dead!!!

Love,

Mackenzie is 2!!!!!

Well, the time has come when my baby has turned 2, on March 1. We celebrated on that day here in Burk at the Par-T- Line. The theme of this years extravaganza was ELMO. Gotta love that little red monster. Here are some pictures of the day's events.

This was the dress that Ms. Diane gave her along with the lamb that she is loving on.

Now, on to the party.

Here is a picture of her cake. Instead of the traditional cake, the cake was formed out of cupcakes. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius.

Mackenzie enjoyed getting to taste test her cupcakes before the party even started.

Mackenzie was very eager to help daddy get the drinks.

Below are some of the presents our "not spoiled" daughter received on her special day.

She was very protective of her ELMO balloons. Nobody could touch them without her giving them a sour look.

The Day of Love

Mackenzie is such a lucky girl. She had Valentine's Day three times over. The day before Valentine's she spent over at Memaw and Papaw's house. Boy did she rack up the goodies there. Everything from clothes to candy to movies. Here are a few pictures from this event. The day of Valentine's Day, Grandma and Grandpa came in from Quanah. They took the family out to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and of course spoiled Mackenzie with stuffed animals. Not only did Mackenzie get stuffed animals from Grandma and Grandpa, she got a pink princess bear from mommy and daddy. The day after Valentine's, Mackenzie helped mommy bake Valentine cupcakes.

Winter or Fall That is the Question

Well, here we are in the new year (2008) and we can't figure out if it is supposed to be winter or fall because of all the leaves that are still on the ground. Mackenzie had a blast running through them and helping daddy "rake" them.

She loved having daddy throw them up in the air and watching them float to the ground.
But, she got daddy back!!!
She just loved being outside in the leaves.
